About Us
ZAX Portal is the result of about two years of casual development by a brother at the Epsilon-Eta chapter at the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. It is a free tool that is meant to make running your chapter easier and more efficient.Who’s behind this?
The brother who created ZAX Portal is Bay Phillips (EH 1196). He’s an Information Technology Web Science major at RPI and will be graduating in May 2011. Bay is in no way affiliated with National, aside from being a Lambda Chi Alpha brother, and hasn’t been paid a cent to do any of this.
How did this start?
In the Fall of 2008, Bay was in a class called Creativity and IT where he was tasked with creating any sort of technology project that he felt was needed. After he had been recently elected as the next High Beta for Epsilon-Eta, the idea of creating an online tool to manage the chapter’s tasks started to develop. After the project was finished, a very rough and basic EHZ Portal had been created and had some functionality.
As time progressed, more work was slowly, but surely, being done on the Portal to increase its usefulness. Fast forward to where we are now (at the time of writing September 2010) and the Portal turned into the ZAX Portal with the hopes of allowing all zetas the opportunity to use the service in order to help them out.

We're looking for more help!
The task of creating a good enough tool for all zetas across the nation to use is quite a daunting one. If you have ANY experience or desire to work in web design or development, please email me and we can start talking. If we can get more brothers working on the ZAX Portal than everyone will benefit from it.
